Historic Design Consulting LLC was founded by Mark Johnston in 2007 in Vadnais Heights, MN. HDC assists home owners, businesses, museums and non-profits preserve and restore historic properties from the mid 19th and early 20th centuries. HDC specializes in the selection of paint and color schemes, millwork and ornament appropriate for the age and style of historic homes. Mark is a member of the Minnesota Society of Architectural Historians and the Association of Preservation Technology and meets the U.S. Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards for history.
